THE delivery of post in the Weston and Worle area is back on track today (Fri) following two days of weather disruption.

Royal Mail had prioritised post to special deliveries on Wednesday and Thursday because many staff were unable to get to work.

But today a spokesman said the branch was back to full strength and was getting mail out to people's homes.

However, he warned that post could still be late because of the icy conditions and a growing backlog of items.

He said: "Today (Fri) all the postmen have come into work and we are delivering mail as normal again.

"The weather has obviously disrupted the service and I'd warn people there could be delays to their post and the time of their postal round.
