WESTON'S postal service returned to some normality yesterday (Wed).
Members of the Communication Workers Union (CWU) went back to work following a series of walk-outs over the past week.
The postal staff were due to meet yesterday (Wed) as the Weston & Somerset Mercury went to press to discuss taking further action next week.
There are more staggered walk-outs planned for sorting offices and delivery, collection and distribution of post, from Monday to October 18.
Royal Mail has advised customers to expect severe disruption to all postal services during strikes and for a significant period afterwards. For more details log onto www.royalmail.com
