Praise from on high for Kings of Wessex

A CHEDDAR school has been rated as 'outstanding' in an inspection. Kings of Wessex School was visited by inspectors from the Church of England

A CHEDDAR school has been rated as 'outstanding' in an inspection.Kings of Wessex School was visited by inspectors from the Church of England last month. They watched lessons and met with staff, students and parents. Inspectors said in their report that the school had an extremely well-planned provision for the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of students. They also said there was good Christian leadership in the school which allowed pupils to flourish.Headteacher Chris Richardson said: "I am delighted that Kings has been judged to be an outstanding church school. "The Christian element is an integral part of our daily work and this accolade is a tribute to the efforts of all our students and staff."Inspectors from the Church of England regularly visit Christian schools to inspect religious education. The visits are not linked to Ofsted inspections, which are a requirement of the Government.
