A TALENTED Worle singer has won a place in a prestigious group.

Ben Gutsell

Ben Gutsell auditioned for the National Youth Choir of Great Britain, which is recognised as one of the most outstanding organisations of its kind in the world.

As a result of his time spent there, Ben was invited to join its North Training Choir, often a stepping stone to the main group.

Ben, of Osprey Gardens in Mead Vale, will spend his first residential in the Tudor Hall School, near Oxford, in April.

The Worle Community School pupil started singing lessons at the age of 11 and has been performing in festivals for six years.

He is also part of the Bristol Choral Society and is studying A-level music at Worle Community School.
