Mendip Green held their year one wedding at St Martin's Church.

Children aged just six tied the knot in an unusual religious education lesson this week.

St Martin’s Church in Worle welcomed the smartly-dressed pupils from Mendip Green Primary School for a mock wedding on Friday.

The pupils held stag and hen parties the day before the service, building up to the big day where pupils dressed up in glamorous suits and dresses.

After the formalities concluded, the students returned to the school for a reception where a three-tier Despicable Me-inspired wedding cake was served.
