A HOME-MADE sign has been put up in a street in Burnham to draw attention to an alleged lack of speed notices.
The sign, which was captured on camera by reader Paul Ratcliffe and submitted through our iwitness24 site, was attached to a lamp-post in Love Lane last week to raise awareness of the 30mph speed restriction.
It says: “I’ll let you know it’s 30mph because SDC (Sedgemoor District Council) can’t be bothered to.
“They would rather fine you £60 for doing 37mph.
“Where’s the sign! Where’s the justice!!!!”
A spokesman from Somerset County Council highways department said: “These are not signs authorised by Somerset County Council and they will shortly be taken down.”
