A keenly-contested pub game championship took place in Wedmore at the weekend, attracting more than 70 people.

The annual spoof competition was held in The New Inn, in Combe Batch, which invited people from all across the area to chance their arm in a game of luck.

The competition involved guessing how many coins were held by their groups.

Points were awarded for guessing correctly and the winner and runner-up from each group progressed into the next round.

Jill Kingston, from Glastonbury, took home the trophy after a tense final.
