A DONATION of 1,000 was handed over by a Weston landlady after a bumper Easter egg draw.
Cash was raised at an annual live music event at Scally’s Pub in Carlton Street over the festive season and three bands donated 200.
Landlady, Dawn Coupe, presented the cheque to Doug Edgar from the Weston branch of the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes.
The funds will go to the Freewheelers Emergency Voluntary Service.
The charity relies on volunteers on motorbikes to provide a life-saving service to the NHS by transporting test samples, patient notes, X-rays, frozen breast milk, and other vital medical supplies.
