THE organisers of the Weston Film Festival this week handed out first prize for the best cinema-themed evening of the first event.
The Tavern Inn The Town scooped the award for its Chicago-themed party, and licensee Sharon Malone was handed the award by Weston Art Social Enterprise director Terry Gilbert.
He said: “The committee are very pleased the response to the first festival and plans are already being formulated for the next one, which we hope will be bigger and better, and involve more groups and venues.”
