Public meetings set for new supermarket talks

MEETINGS to discuss plans by two supermarket giants to build in a Somerset village will be held this month.

On Tuesday, Cheddar Parish Council will discuss proposals by Sainsbury’s to build a new supermarket in the village.

A week later, a separate meeting will be held to discuss plans by Tesco and Cheddar AFC to build a new supermarket in Draycott Road and a new sports facility for the club nearby.

Both meetings will be held at 7pm at Fairlands Middle School in Masons Way.
