A CONSULTATION which could shape the future of housing and transport in North Somerset will open to the public.

North Somerset Council is working with Bristol City, Bath and North East Somerset and South Gloucestershire Councils to create a joint plan for housing, transport and infrastructure up to 2036.

Councillors will meet tomorrow (Friday) to discuss a report outlining how new homes and infrastructure are needed to help the area grow economically.

It is part of creating a joint plan to set out how houses and other infrastructure will be divided throughout the region. A public consultation will begin in November.
