A Somerset pupil has designed a bedroom for the show home at the Bloor Homes development.

Cerys Latham, a year four pupil at Cheddar First School, designed a magical woodlands room which won first prize in the competition run by the business.

As part of the prize, Cerys and her family had the chance to see her design brought to life before it opened to the public.

Jane Briscoe, sales manager for Bloor Homes, said: “Cerys’ fantastic design looks superb in our new show home and it was great to show her and her family the end result.

“We worked very hard to ensure the bedroom captures Cerys’ spellbinding vision, and we hope she was pleased with the outcome.”

Cerys’ design was brought to life by leading design consultancy ArtSpace.

The developer is currently building 90 homes off Upper New Road in Cheddar, with 36 of the new houses being affordable.
