YOUNGSTERS from a Somerset school held a read-in session in support of Cheddar library.

Children's Author Steve Barlow with pupils and parents Rachel Walters and Julie Izzard from Draycott and Rodney Stoke School, campaigning to keep Cheddar Library running.

Author Steve Barlow shared a book with Draycott and Rodney Stoke First School pupils and talked to them about the importance of libraries at the event, held last Friday.

Cathy Lowe, headteacher, said, “Our read-in gave parents and children the opportunity to share the joys of reading together.

“We are very grateful to Steve Barlow for giving his time to share his work with our pupils.”
