PUPILS performed to raise pennies for a worthy cause in Weston.
Students from St George's Primary School had dance and singing lessons with Weston Operatic Society and performed a show with the group at the school.
A Night at the Musicals was staged in front of parents and friends of the school and more than £1,000 was raised.
Teacher Ian Doswell said: "This was the first thing the students performed at the school as we are fairly new. It was a great success for our first big venture."
The cash was split between the Parent and Teacher Association and Weston Hospicecare.
