A TEAM of Nailsea School pupils took to the airwaves in Bristol to broadcast a show on the community station, BCfm.

The students are part of a group of people who run Nailsea School Radio (NSR), which posts broadcasts on its website.

Year 13 pupil Edd Burrell, NSR station manager, was approached by the management of BCfm to create a new show and the group was given a six-week slot on the station.

He was tasked with creating a teen debate show and quickly formed a team of other pupils to join him.

Matt East and Graeme Franklin, from year 13, and year 11 pupils Josh Wakley and Jack Barry were chosen to co-present alongside Edd.

Year ten pupil Seth Atkinson was chosen as a studio assistant on the show, called The Voice.

It aired every Monday for six weeks through October and November.

Edd said: "It was an amazing opportunity for me and the team. It was great to not only create a show for an FM station but to also try out new styles of show for a whole new audience.
