A TINY puppy was given mouth to mouth resuscitation and brought back to life by her owner after falling in to a pond and nearly drowning.

The 12-week-old Jack Russell puppy, named Paris, was found in the garden pond at her home in Beckett Road, Worle, by owner Kim Linford after she went looking for her.

Kim, aged 47, said: "Her eyes were fixed, her mouth was open and she was bloated. I really thought she was a goner.

"I checked for a pulse and heartbeat but there was neither so I shook her like a lamb to get the water out and them started mouth to mouth and CPR.

"Suddenly she took a deep breathe and started breathing. I wrapped her in lots of towels and used my hairdryer to keep her warm. I was scared she would die of shock.

"After about 20 minutes she started licking me and it was as if she had come back from the dead. Then the adrenaline passed, the emotions kicked in and I just cried."

Paris was then taken to Green Pastures Veterinary Centre, in Moor Lane, Weston, where he was checked over and found to be shocked but ok.
