Weston-super-Mare’s greatest performers are invited to take part in a talent show to raise money for disabled people.

Leonard Cheshire Disability’s care home Birnbeck House, in St Pauls Road, is looking for musicians, dancers and comedians who would like to showcase their skills and raise money for the people the home supports.

The money raised at the event will build a state-of-the-art sensory garden, which will improve the lives of 13 adults with learning disabilities who live in the home.

People can enter on their own or as part of a group and stand a chance of winning up to £250.

The competition is part of group’s celebrations for the 100th birthday of the charity’s founder and war hero Leonard Cheshire.

The competition, entitled Cent’sational Starz, will be held on October 20 at the Tropicana, in Marine Parade, with hopefuls hearing if they have made it to the final by the end of September.

To enter, email sarah.granger@leonardcheshire.org or call 01934 626498.
