BURNHAM S town centre manager could soon be lost in a bid to plug a massive funding gap in council money.
BURNHAM'S town centre manager could soon be lost in a bid to plug a massive funding gap in council money.
Sedgemoor District Council has to fill a £1.8million hole and one of the suggestions is to scrap the town centre manager posts and place the management of the areas with the relevant councils.
The move could save the council £64,870 but as the Weston & Somerset Mercury went to press a question mark was still hovering over the job title, and council leaders are continuing to discuss the issue.
Other suggestions include closing Burnham swimming pool and ceasing funding to the Blake Museum in Bridgwater. Final decisions are expected to be made at a full council meeting on February 13.
