The Race for Life in Weston is set to take place on Wednesday

Women in Weston are being encouraged to take part in Cancer Research UKs Race for Life as registration closes on Monday.

Ladies can either choose to walk or run the 5km race and its set to start in Weston’s Beach Lawns road on Wednesday at 7.30pm.

The race promises to be suitable for people of all fitness levels and 852 people have already registered to take part.

Only 50 places remain for Weston’s Race for Life.

Cancer Research UK’s event manager for Weston’s Race for Life, Brenda Scott, said: “Every day, around 90 people are diagnosed with cancer in the South West.

“Now is the time to commit to the Race for Life, so please join like-minded ladies at the start line to make a real difference in the fight against the disease.”
