A doctor who braved Marine Lake for a cold swim this winter has handed over £500 for a new scanner for Weston General Hospital.

Dr William Hicks, from the hospital’s radiology department, has given the money to the £400,000 appeal, which is being run by the hospital’s League of Friends and Weston Area Health NHS Trust.
To get involved in the appeal, email info@scannerappeal.org for more information.
