Police have closed part of Hildesheim Bridge in Weston-super-Mare after reports of a man threatening to jump off.
Avon and Somerset Constabulary was called out to a concern for welfare at 8.40am this morning (Wednesday).
A man was on the wrong side of the railings on the bridge close to Weston Railway Station and officers are currently talking to him.
Three police cars are in attendance and the road into town over the bridge has been closed, with traffic being diverted.
*UPDATE 10.50am* Hildesheim Bridge has now reopened. Traffic is moving in both directions and the train lines have also reopened.
