THE popularity of the new Sandford Station Railway Heritage Centre in its first few months has been such that it has been kept open for longer.

The centre, opened at the beginning of July, will now be open to the public until October 31 as the centre said it was delighted at the public’s response to the restored building.

The Grade II-listed building, which used to be the old railway station booking office, was renovated and restored to its former glory, and has proved a big hit with many people over the summer.
