A survey carried out by a wildlife group has revealed Claverham is home to a greater number of a rare bat breed than anywhere else in the country.

The survey, carried out by the Yatton and Congresbury Wildlife Action Group (YACWAG), revealed there are more serotine bats in Claverham than anywhere else.

YACWAG has now been given a grant by Bristol Airport to monitor bat populations. Contact Tony Moulin on 01934 834282 to get involved.
