As a Yorkshire lass moving to Weston this summer, Weston is incredibly special to me. My daughter and I love the scenery, the atmosphere, the people - everything.
These 3 photos, taken around Marine Lake and from Uphill, represent where my heart lies within Weston. Two new occupants have taken up residence on the roof of the old Westlands building opposite Screwfix in Winterstoke Road Weston-s-Mare. Two Oystercatchers can be seen on the roof and also scouring the grass for things to eat. More at home on river banks and tidal estuaries, these two appear to have decided that a roof is good enough for a Gull, its good enough for Oysetrcatchers!
