Weston-super-Mare’s wild and wonderful weather inspired the town’s photographers to submit some excellent photos to iwitness24 this week.

As Storm Imogen battered the town, thrill-seeking photographers were keen to get outside and capture the impact of the storm’s ferocious waves.

Chris Day took a picture of the storm’s rough seas surrounding a precarious-looking Birnbeck Pier, while Simon Williams was there to capture the waves overtopping Knightstone Island.

Mark Anstee also took a stunning shot of stormy skies overlooking Weston’s seafront, while Terry Kelly also caught some spectacular skies over the town’s Royal Sands complex.

However, the weather wasn’t all doom and gloom, as Nick Page Hayman’s offering of Brean Down in the sun and Clive Furbank’s shot of Uphill proved.
