FUND-RAISERS put on their trainers for a charity fun run around Portishead.The event, now in its fifth year, was organised by Portishead Rotary Club to raise money for Cancer Research and youth projects in the town. The run, which attracted more than 90 runners, was kicked off by comedian Eddie Large.Winner was Wasnick Page of Clevedon Athletic Club who made it to the finishing line in 30 minutes and 15 seconds.In second place was Alex Copping of the City of Bath Athletics Club who finished with a time of 30 minutes, 45 seconds.The winner of the children's under 11's race was Alex Grocock and the winner of the children's over 11 sprint was Alex Hayes.The final runner clocked in with a time of one hour and seven minutes.A spokesman for the Rotary club said: "Although the day started off dull and drizzly, it did not deter the enthusiasm of everyone taking part.
