WESTON MP John Penrose helped launch a charity recipe book at a supermarket in Worle.

The MP was at Sainsburys in Weston for the release of the book, which will raise cash for Vision North Somerset.

The charity operates in the district, providing assistance to people with serious eye conditions.

Charity patron Nigel Dando said: “Vision North Somerset supports almost 2,000 local people who are either registered blind or have significant sight loss. Raising funds to continue our work is increasingly difficult, especially in the current economic climate.

“We have produced this book, hoping that local people particularly, will enjoy trying the recipes.”

The book is on sale at the Sainsburys store, as well as at Puxton Park and Walker & Ling in Weston High Street.
