The Red Arrows will be showing off their flare in the air a day earlier at HeliDays Plus this year.Organisers of the annual event on Weston seafront have announced this year's show will be extended from its normal three days to four. The Red Arrows will make their annual appearance on July 26 this year, allowing the organisation to also bring forward its own flying and ground displays forward by one day, for a full four day event from July 26-29.The event is organised by a team of volunteers, with assistance from North Somerset Council and Weston Town Council. All profits from the event, now in its 17th year, go to local charities including The Helicopter Museum.Event director Captain Elfan Ap Rees said: "It is good news for the visitors, good news for the traders and good news for Weston's tourist industry, all of whom will benefit from the extra day."In addition to the Red Arrows it is hoped to include a mix of fixed wing and helicopter displays followed by the traditional helicopter arrivals and static displays.The Beach Lawns will host a range of family entertainment, including children's slides and rides, an arts and crafts marquee, trade and charity stalls and vintage military vehicles.
