Plans to build a footpath from a housing estate into the centre of Wrington have been revealed.

Redcliffe Homes won permission on appeal in December to build 59 homes at Coxs Green, despite the scheme being met with resistance within the village.

With outline planning permission obtained, Redcliffe has gone to North Somerset Council to get more detailed plans agreed before construction can begin.

It said: “To improve pedestrian access between the site and the centre of Wrington, it is proposed to provide a footway link from Coxs Green through the narrow section of carriageway between the junction with Havyatt Road and the Burnett Industrial Estate. Also, the junction of Coxs Green and Havyatt Road will be realigned (to improve visibility).”
