BURNHAM'S Regatta Week returns to the town this month and is set to be bigger and better than ever. From July 28 to August 5, a host of events will be on offer to entertain and delight the whole family. A Ball Fusion event will be held all day on the beach on July 29. The session is aimed at youngsters and is a combination of football and music. Organiser Sue Quatermass, who is the community development worker for Burnham, needs £250 to run the event. Anyone interested can contact her on 01278 435788. On the same day, the youth town council will be asking visitors to paint on a giant canvas. Everyone will be asked to paint what they like about Burnham onto the board. For more details contact Jo Burridge on 01278 780130. On Tuesday July 31 a charity boat race will be held on the seafront. The cost of hire is £20 per person and teams of 15 are recommended to crew the vessel. For more details contact Alex Turco on 01278 788646.
