Large scale maps showing the public rights of way around a Somerset village will be on display this month.

People will be able to discover where the routes in the Cheddar parish are during an event at the library, in Union Street.

Visitors to the library will also be able to register routes around the village.

A Cheddar Parish Council spokesman said: “There may be a path which you use regularly which is not recorded as a public footpath or bridle-path, under the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000.

“The cut off date for registering rights of way is April 2026.”

People can drop in to the library from 11am to noon on September 29 or October 6 where the large-scale maps showing the public rights of way will be on display.

People can pick up a form to re-register any path not already marked on the map.
