Noah's Ark Zoo Farm is playing host to 15 reindeer, which will be visiting farms across North Somerset over the Christmas period.
The zoo farm in Clevedon Road will be keeping three of the animals which will be housed in its North American section along with the American bison, prairie dogs and wild bears.
Education officer Hayley Lung said: "We are very excited about having them.
"We intend to train the reindeer up and involve them within our animal show.
"They will be a valuable tool in educating children in the classification of animals and will greatly enrich school trip experiences."
The reindeer travelled from the Arctic Circle by ferry and were then taken to the zoo farm in a 40ft articulated lorry.
Visitors will be able to check out the new residents when the farm opens again on February 9.
