WALKING along the Uphill sands this weekend will be some canines who are looking for a relaxing walk in contrast to their previously hectic lifestyles.

Volunteers from Greyhound Rescue West of England (GRWE) have organised the walk as part of the National Great British Greyhound Walk.

The walk is in aid of promoting greyhounds as pets across the country.

GRWE volunteer Stuart says: “We would love to see greyhound and lurcher friends old and new at the walk, to help celebrate life after the track for these beautiful and friendly dogs.

“This is also a really great opportunity for anyone thinking of homing an ex-racer to come along and see what gentle and loving pets greyhounds make.”

The walk will last for an hour and will set off from Uphill sands car park at 10am on Sunday morning.
