Police have issued a new photo of a man they want to speak to following an assault in Weston-super-Mare, in which a man was knocked unconscious.

The incident took place on April 6, in Walliscote Grove Road. Police released a CCTV image of a man they wanted to speak to following the incident shortly after it took place.

But Avon and Somerset Constabulary has now released a second CCTV still of the man, who is white and has closely-shaved hair.

During the incident a man approached the passenger side of a silver car which had stopped close to the roundabout in Walliscote Grove Road. He began kicking the car’s door, prompting the passenger to get out of the vehicle.

The suspect then punched the man, causing him to fall unconscious to the floor. He suffered a fractured jaw in three places and required hospital treatment.

The suspect – described as aged 19 or 20 – ran down Station Road, towards Tesco.

He was wearing a black T-shirt on with the logo HYPE in large white lettering. The sleeves of the T-shirt were white. He was also wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and trainers.
