A POND which is suffering from a build-up of silt is undergoing repairs.
Sedgemoor District Council has been repairing and repainting the railings around the pond in Cheddar Gorge.
A large tree root was also removed, and coping stones reinstalled.
Discussions on the most efficient way to deal with the silt build-up are continuing between the council and the site owner Bristol Water.
