THE residents whose calls led to the arrests of two men have been thanked by Avon and Somerset Constabulary's Chief Constable.

Last week, two men were arrested following the discovery of two cannabis factories where drugs with an estimated value of more than £50,000 were found.

The arrests were made possible by calls from two Weston residents.

Chief Constable Nick Gargan said: “Communities cut crime - we just help.

“Calls like these are really good examples of team work in action.

“I’d like to say thank you to those callers and to the officers who have responded effectively to these calls.”

Anyone with information about people they suspect of committing a crime should call the police non-emergency number 101 or fill in the online reporting form.
