An ‘important’ new development which will boost house-buying prospects in Highbridge has been opened this week by Weston’s Knightstone Housing.

The 62-home Morland Chase, built on the site of the former Morlands Industrial Estate, was unveiled in a ceremony attended by town dignitaries and Knightstone representatives.

The development has been designed to provide sustainable living, and was described as ‘greatly important for the local community by Stephen Harper of Clarke Willmott, a legal firm who helped secure the relevant permissions for the project to go ahead.

Knightstone Housing’s development manager Sharron Taylor said: “This has been a high-profile scheme but the contractors have done a fantastic job and the finished development is lovely.

“We’re pleased to have improved the area for residents.”
