A new community project which will see seniors mix with tots is launching next week.
The Rise And Inspire initiative aims to tackle loneliness, and memory loss in the elderly, by teaming up elderly participants with children to tackle a range of activities at sessions held at Worle Library and children's centre,
The sessions start at the Mendip Avenue centre on Tuesday afternoon, from 1.30-3pm.
Organiser Jenny Terris said: "I am passionate about tackling loneliness and want to draw attention to the often-forgotten elderly generation. Our choice to home educate our children, together with watching a special bond develop as they play together with my grandmother, also inspired me in this project.
"Meeting other local home-educating families has made me realise we could create a space where these two pockets of our community can bring inspiration to one another, a connection and sense of fun."
