Risk of floods after weather warning issued in Weston-super-Mare for ‘exceptionally’ torrential rain

The Met Office has today (Friday) issued a yellow weather warning for rain and wind, with Weston-super-Mare at risk of flooding due to torrential rain and wind being forecast.

It says there is a risk of heavy rain and strong winds which could lead to difficult travel conditions, up until 7pm tonight.

The Met Office has also warned it could result in flash flooding and the gales could knock trees down across the North Somerset area.
