THE boss of a Weston addiction treatment centre took part in a 125-mile kayak race to raise funds.

Broadway Lodge chief executive Brian Dudley and corporate sponsors Mike Turner and Paul Waterhouse all took part in the race from Devizes to Westminster in London.

The challenge was one of many taking place for Broadway Lodge, in Totterdown Lane, this year as part of its 40th anniversary celebrations.

About £3,000 was raised in sponsorship, which will go towards funding treatments at the centre.
