A WESTON road remains closed both ways after heavy rain caused a landslide.
Upper Church Road has been closed since Wednesday night after a 12ft stone wall gave way and collapsed into oncoming traffic at 9.25pm.
Most of the debris has been removed from the road but blockades remain in place at both ends of the road and the footpath below the crumbling wall is also closed.
A spokesman from the council said: “The road will remain closed until we are satisfied it is safe to re-open it.
“More rain is forecast and we have extra resources on standby to deal with any emergencies.”
