MOTORISTS have been advised that several Weston town centre roads will be closed and others made into no-waiting zones ahead of Sunday’s T4 On The Beach festival.
Beach Road will be closed between Quantock Road and Clifton Road on Sunday from 6am to 8pm, with the closure extended to Moorland Road from 4pm onwards.
Station Approach will also be closed from 4pm to 8pm, although access will be permitted for residents of the affected roads.
There will also be nine roads with parking or waiting restrictions in place, meaning no motorist can park on the designated roads from 7am today (Friday) until Monday.
The roads are:
-Beach Road from the Grand Atlantic Hotel to Clifton Road (seafront side only).
-Beach Road from Clifton Road to Quantock Road.
-Uphill Road North from Quantock Road to Broadoak Road (both sides to Moorland Road, otherwise seafront side only).
-Clifton Road to Walliscote Road junction (south side).
-Clevedon Road to Walliscote Road junction (south side).
-Quantock Road (north side, both sides at narrow sections and corner).
-Links Road, Uphill Way, Grange Road, Uphill Road South (all one side).
Three car parks have been closed for the event, Madeira car park in Madeira Road, Locking Road car park and the Railway station car park.
Other car parks will remain open and parking will be provided on the beach at £10 for the day.
North Somerset Council is advising drivers to avoid all roads near the site on Sunday due to the risk of congestion.
