RESURFACING work is starting in Clevedon next week.North Somerset Council will be carrying out resurfacing work on the B3124 Holly Lane/Castle Road from October 22.The carriageway will be resurfaced from the junction with Walton Road through to the junction with Bay Road.Because of the narrowness of the road it will close to traffic, but a signed diversion will be in place.Reasonable access to properties and businesses will be maintained and site staff will be available on site should any problems arise.In addition the work has been timed around school holidays to try and minimise disruption and inconvenience.During the road closure, buses on First Bus service X24 and X25 between Clevedon and Portishead will operate only as far as Clevedon Six Ways.They will then return via Elton Road to Salthouse Fields and run in both directions via Old Church Road, Old Street and Walton Road to join their normal route at Holly Lane.The section of route between Holly Lane and Clevedon Six Ways will not be served.Passengers wishing to travel into Clevedon are advised to use First Bus services X7 and 364 or Blue Iris service 800.Blue Iris service 800 will operate to and from the Holly Lane area via Chapel Hill, Park Road, Thackeray Road, Old Park Road, Edward Road and The Avenue.This service will not serve the stops in Old Street.
