AN ELECTRIC guitar signed by Queen songwriter and guitarist Brian May is just one of several items which will be auctioned later this month in aid of a Somerset animal charity.

More than 100 items will feature in the auction at the Webbington Hotel in Loxton on November 28.

Items are being sold as part of a haunted ball in aid of Secret World Wildlife Rescue.

The charity’s founder Pauline Kidner said: “We were donated a guitar and one of our talented volunteers, April Dunnett, painted the frets with badgers, deer and foxes.

“Brian is very supportive of our work – especially with badgers – and we were so pleased when he agreed to sign it.”

The evening starts at 6.30pm. For tickets and more information, visit the Secret World website or contact 01278 783250.
