A WESTON grandfather who has had several of his musicals aired on radio, shown on television and performed on stage has written a new collection of hymns.
Composer Roger Jones, of Clifton Road, has written Seasons And Reasons.
Working in collaboration with famous writer Timothy Dudley-Smith, formerly Bishop of Thetford, he has put together 32 new hymns, including items for Christmas, Easter, harvest, and special occasions such as baptisms.
Roger has named several tunes after the Weston area.
He has just returned from Israel where he led a choral house party performing the musical Rock in Jerusalem and Bethlehem.
As well as hymns and songs, Roger has written 22 musicals, many of which have been featured on BBC Radio and television and performed at The Playhouse in Weston.
The music book and a CD are available from Christian Music Ministries via www.cmm.org.uk or 01527 576440 or on Amazon.
