A DEVOTED fundraiser from Weston was one of a lucky few to be invited for a royal reception at Clarence House to mark his good work.
Adam Brown, aged 40, was one of 90 members of the Royal British Legion’s Riders Branch to meet the Prince of Wales last Friday.
The father, pictured behind the prince, was invited because of his work organising the annual Weston Bike Night, which has raised more than £30,000 for the Poppy Appeal since its launch in 2009.
The former serviceman wore leathers adorned with medals and rode around the grounds of the royal household before parking up in front of the house.
He said: “He then asked about Weston Bike Night and the work I have done for the legion. He seemed impressed and it was a real privilege meeting him.”
