A VETERINARY school in Langford will soon be visited by its new royal patron.

The Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla Parker Bowles, will visit the University of Bristol Veterinary School on November 6 as patron of the Langford Trust for Animal Health and Welfare.

The trust aims to educate the public about animal welfare and is currently working with the University of Bristol to raise money for a new equine and farm animal surgical facility at the Langford House site.

The building would complete the development of the Bristol Equine Centre, which will enable improvements in surgical treatment as well as training of veterinary graduates.
