RECYCLING and refuse collection in North Somerset will take place on the same day from April.
Green box collections will still be every fortnight but will alternate with the garden waste collection.
North Somerset Council's executive member for the environment, Carl Francis-Pester said: "The changes we are making to the collection services will mean it is easier for residents to remember when they will take place, as they will all be on the same day of the week.
"This should lead to more recycling in North Somerset which means less waste going to landfill and a reduction in the amount of landfill tax the council is obliged to pay."
Calendars listing all the collection dates will be delivered to homes across the district between February 25 and March 7 ready for the launch of the new service on April 7.
