MORE than 100kg of rubbish was collected from a Weston beach during a volunteer clean-up - including a shotgun cartridge.
A group of 50 people flocked to Sand Bay to take part in the Marks & Spencer Big Beach Clean.
Customers and employees were joined by members of community groups to help free the beach from rubbish and protect the area’s marine life.
The event is run in partnership with the Marine Conservation Society and saw litter pickers collecting everything from wrappers, tin cans and pieces of rope.
