THE architectural sandcastles competition on Weston's seafront will now take place in September after bad weather forced organisers to postpone Saturday's event.

The event has now been rescheduled for September 3, and will see Wallace and Gromit help to judge sandcastles in a variety of different classes, including tallest, most technically daring and best overall sandcastle.

It will be held on the seafront near to the current Sand Sculpture Festival site, with funds going towards Wallace and Gromit’s Grand Appeal for The Bristol Children’s Hospital Charity.
